It all started at a Make Magazine meetup earlier in 2015. Pizza, beer, LEDs, button cell batteries, duct tape, and a directive to make anything we could think of with them. That night I had LED nubs atop my cap. After a few weeks I took it to the next level, full blown LED antennae. I was lucky enough to find out that LED leads fit nicely into Dupont connectors. Unable to find any over-the-shelf CR2032 battery holders that works for this project, i came up with my own 3D design. When the battery is in the holder, the wires make a solid contact with the battery without any soldering. The holder also doubles as a stability platform for the chenille stems which would otherwise flop around atop the cap if the stem had nothing to mount onto.
The build for this project can be found on Instructables.
